Rice with vegetables and legumes
Ingredients:
Vegetables (of a whole large piece):
Turnip.
Parsnip.
Carrots
Piece of pumpkin.
Swiss chard (a bunch)
Celery twig
Onion.
Tomato.
Head of garlic
Spoonful of sweet paprika
Legumbres:
- Lentejas.
- Habichuelas.
- Arroz.
Otros:
- Sal.
- Aceite de oliva.
Preparation:
– Step 1: In a pot boil with plenty of water, the beans turnip, celery, parsnips, carrots, Swiss chard, pumpkin … salt and lentils; they should boil about an hour and a half over low heat. If the pressure cooker is used ten minutes or so.
– Step 2: In a separate pan, make a sauce of oil with the head of garlic, onion, paprika, and finally the tomato.
– Step 3: When we have almost ready the vegetables, they add the sofrito with a handful of rice, it cooks twenty minutes more, and when the rice is in its point, to eat.
